“Our situation is extremely serious,” the postmaster general, Patrick R. Donahoe, said in an interview. “If Congress doesn’t act, we will default.”

This cannot happen! I'm already sad that mail isn't delivered on Sundays and now... How can the world even keep going round with no postal service?! Thanks to Samara O'Shea for the update.
