These are the finished mini scrapbooks that I made for my niece Angel and Nephews A.J. and Brandon. I made the basic books, gave them all the same supplies and let them go nuts!
And did they ever. For about five hours!!! They are ages 10, 9 and 7. Fun paper, stickers, photos, pens, markers, tape and glue was all they needed to create their masterpieces!!! It was sooo much fun.
It was really great to see the crazy unguided messy creations they came up with! The books are truly all their own.
So... Simply enough this blog is about me. Shocking I know. I have been inspired to start this blog by the movie "Julie and Julia". No, I will not be cooking... I will most likely be writing a lot about my love of mail and all of my postal endeavors. I will also undoubtedly be writing about my husband, darling little girl and dog. Not to mention any other meanderings that may cross my mind. So, here we go.

Smarvelous Swonderful
I received the most surprising and heart warming gift this early Christmas Eve morning!!!!!! My new pen pal and Blog reader Chrissy sent me a sweet little package and a lovely letter! I hadn't heard from her in a while but we all get busy from time to time and especially during this season. It was great getting to catch up with her on her life and I can't wait to write her on Monday.
As for the wonderful gift I received some crafty ephemera goodies. And. A. Mini Smash Book!!! I've never even seen one before! I have now decided I am going to write in it every day of January. It's going to be my "New Beginnings" sort of book. I may start it early actually because I don't know if I can wait...
Thank you so much Chrissy! You'll be hearing from me via snail mail next week. Happy Holidays!!!

Journal Madness
Well. I decided for my Christmas Twilight Mom Gift Exchange that I would send off one of my already made Twilight Journals. But then I decided to vamp it up (pun intended). LOL. So I gave it a hard cover made with Twilight themed scrapbook paper and already used some of the afore mentioned goodies from Sarah. I love how it turned out!!!
Lovely Package
I received my first package exchange gift last night!!! Sigh. It's absolutely lovely. My exchange partner was Sarah from
http://www.blog.dodelinedesign.com/
Isn't it silly that two Sara's were matched up? Even odder... I knew someone in high school by her exact first and last name!!! (shivers dramatically). Any who back to the lovely goodies I received. Sarah was generous and sent me a lot of fun paper treats. Two note card sets with gold envelopes made me smile with glee. Two types of scrapbook paper. Some washi tape and divine twine (which I kept wanting to buy and hadn't yet)! Some gorgeous velvet ribbon and craft stickers. Oh. And the best odd bit was the mini burlap bag!!! I love that it has an image of an Amish horse cart and that it once contained Amish popcorn. How neat!!!!!! Sarah has a lovely Blog and everyone should pop over and check her out.

Hot Glue Guns
I LOVE them! Oh and buttons of course. The person who invented the hot glue gun was a genius! And I've been using mine ALOT lately. For making one of a kind hair clips!
Printing on Tissue Paper
Is pretty awesome! These are the finished journal covers. The green one came out more transparent because it was all dark colors. It's a print of woods with my favorite Frost poem. First time trying my hand at tissue paper worked out pretty well! I'm not one for wasting time and supplies by practicing so I went straight to decoupaging? them to the journals! LOl

Handmade Hardcover Journals
Well by golly I've finally done it!!! I've made my first Hardcover Journals. And they're great! These are basically the same as my Twilight Journals. They have personalized lined pages, journal prompts, quotes and scrapbook paper all bound with binder rings so the owner can reorganize, add and take out as she pleases. But these have hard cardboard covers! The blueish peacock feather one I'm keeping and the red one is for a friend. I'd like to put some in my shop but there are so many fabulous journals already on Etsy I'm not sure if anyone would bother. These are super durable, pretty and easy to make!!! I think I want to spruce up the covers even more though... Hmmm.

I have officially finished almost all of my gift exchange packages! As well as my cousin Jessica's who will be Croatia for the next 18 months! I can't post pictures of the gifts just in case the girlies peek at my Blog but here is some of what I've been a busy little bee working on!
