So Far...

My Hybrid Journal is working fantastically for me! One of the reasons I ALWAYS fail at journaling is I write something that I don't want others to read... And end up ripping out the pages and stashing them elsewhere.

I love to journal because I want to have a written record of my life. Some tangible evidence of my existence. Hoping that years from now someone will read it and peek through the window into my mind. So, I have come up with a way to incorporate my old fashioned, lined cream colored paper, cursive writing journal entry pages into my book. An unsuspecting envelope!

I love to upcycle envelopes and have a whole stack (which I've been meaning to put into my shop). I adhered the envelope flap to the page so that it can be lifted up and journal entries can be placed inside!

Now the passing glancer wont know that they are there. But the inquisitive mind (much later on) may find them. Most importantly I know that they are there and years from now I can read and reflect on my current mind set at this time in my life. How neat is that?!

  1. What a neat idea to hide those personal entries.
I've always had the same problem. Trying to be honest in my journal, without exposing my deepest private self.

  2. Yes, your idea about the real personal stuff is geat. I love what you have done so far. You're way more creative than I ever could be, but the important thing is to have fun with it, right?

  3. Fun is definitely the most important part! My hangup is always this idea of "perfection". I never really journal well
Or do anything in life well actually until I remind myself that nothing is perfect. So far the paper in this book is holding up fantastically!!! We'll see later this week when I try my hand at water colors... Cheers!!!
