So... Simply enough this blog is about me. Shocking I know. I have been inspired to start this blog by the movie "Julie and Julia". No, I will not be cooking... I will most likely be writing a lot about my love of mail and all of my postal endeavors. I will also undoubtedly be writing about my husband, darling little girl and dog. Not to mention any other meanderings that may cross my mind. So, here we go.

Busy Morning
I woke up today to a request via Twilight Moms for a Twilight Journal! Super flattered, I popped outta bed and got to work! There are now two of the large 5x7 ones and two of the smaller 4x6 ones. I wonder if it's too late to add an Xmas one? Gosh I still have to get my two package exchange gift goodies together as well. Thank goodness school is basically done for the next two months!!!

Jessies Journal Kit Prototype
Well here it is. My first journal kit! Since its for my cousin Jessie while she's away in Croatia I chose colors that I knew shed like. Lots of mellow earth tones. I included envelopes for hiding things in and monogrammed lined paper along with the bright card stock.
The journal measures about 5x7 so its a good significant travel size. I used binder rings so she can reorganize, add or take things out. Along with a pen, a glue stick and some travel themed ephemera! I think she's gonna love it. It has over fifty pages so it's nice and thick and will hopefully last her the 18 months she's gone!

Paper!!!
Oooooo. I'm getting paper ready for the journal kits I will be putting in my shop!!! They are sooo colorful and wonderful! I'm thinking of just starting with a few themed ones. Maybe a nature one, a fall one, a winter one, and a twilight one? Any thoughts or suggestions? Or requests? Leave me a comment! Happy Paper Dance.

Three Days Gone
And A Finished Page
Well it's done. And I go back and forth between loving it and thinking its too sparse. But I do love the beach and the blue hues. I find them calming. And inviting in a forlorn quiet way.

Time, Finally Some Time!
I have two days off in a row! And after I drop off a paper for class today I am free to do what I may. Happy Dance. So the plan. The plan is to simply enjoy these two days. Too get some journaling done. To put together a Journal Kit prototype for my shop and to continue absorbing the Twilight Breaking Dawn Soundtrack. Which is awesome! All of the Twilight soundtracks have become my favorite music. They always chooses such an eclectic mix of music. Most of it indie. The newest soundtrack has not disappointed. When the movie arrives two weeks from now I'll have completely absorbed the music. So fun!!!

A Page In Progress
I really love building a page. I tend to start with one item and then just add around it. This page had an image of a coffe cup with arms on the sides and it said "stronger than you think". I absolutely hated the picture so I covered it with the trees.
I walked away and now hours later I've started pulling buttons that mirror the colors of the trees and contrast the pages brown tone. I tend to work on a page throughout the day or even several days. I don't like to rush, but take my time.

Journey in a Journal
So I am utterly still thrilled with my Smash Book as a scrapbook/journal hybrid. It is fantastic!!! First it is a great size. Not so dauntingly large that you feel you'll never fill a page but not so small that everything looks cramped. I also love the paper quality. So far it holds up great to added paper, photos and buttons! I also think its uber neato that the pages are pre- imaged. It just is so much nicer than starting out by staring frighteningly at a big blank sheet of white paper. I really don't like bright white paper much.
These pages I suppose are inspired by LOVE. It all started with the lyrics of "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri. It's my new favorite love song and it just so happens to be from the Twilight Breaking Dawn Soundtrack! Great inspiration.

Progress So Far
Well I've got one Pen Pal package ready to go to Chrissy and an Owl Journal off to Marian. Not too shabby!!!
Busy Day!
Gosh! Today went from "nothing to do" to "so much to do" in 3.5 seconds flat! But it's all good and fun. I need to... Get my hair retouched. Write two pen pal letters. Go to class. Make sure I have time to journal. Start my kits for my Etsy Shop. Oh and send out another sold journal! So neat. Both Owl Journals now have lovely new homes! Pictures to follow throughout the day. Off I go!
P. S. I can here my bubbykins singing in her bedroom. Too precious.
